UPDATE 05/21/2024: Felt compelled to file an update as my original was over two years old. For the record, we have used Colorado Pond Pros for the construction and maintenance of our water feature, a small pond and connected stream. I recently had some new team members out to the house for this year's pond clean out. Ansley and Jason were incredibly communicative, letting me know exactly when they were arriving and what their intention was. And wow, this is probably the best pond clean-out we've had since installing the water feature years ago. It feels like every single rock was hand-washed. It looks brand new, save for the foliage and vegetation that has grown in over the years. They checked my lights (five out), fixed a few lines and just really cleaned everything up after a long winter. I could not be happier. I had initially considered getting a pond vacuum and doing it myself, and let me tell you, I'm glad I didn't. I never could have come close to the job they completed. Kudos to CPP for their incredible staff! ORGINAL REVIEW: I initially had owner Mike Herrmann come out to our residence for a consultation regarding our pondless waterfall. I did the install myself, but wanted to upgrade to a full pond system. I know from experience that owner-installs can be a pain, but Mike took everything in stride, let me know of their availability, and then had their office follow-up with a quote. When the team arrived, I could not have been more impressed with their professionalism. Led by Matt, the first day had a team of 3 with Mitchell and Juan joining. I could not believe how quickly they worked and how fast the project came together. On day 2, we had water running. But what was really evident was the talent that each member brought to the project. In addition to having a difficult work site, and the added stress of getting a massive boulder into an impossible place, everyone really went above and beyond in the actual construction of the pond. It looks amazing. The rock placement, the lighting, each piece of hardware - it all came together in a way we just couldnât imagine. The team exceeded expectations in every possible way. They are all artists in every sense of the word. A big shout out to the install team, everyone who worked on site was an absolute joy to interact with and talented in ways that made the final outcome just shine. If you want take your yard to the next level, if you want to create paradise within your own boundaries, then Colorado Pond Pros are the people to make that dream a reality. We just couldnât be happier with the work done by their team.

We have used other providers in the past, and have attempted to do maintnenance work ourselves as well. So glad we found Colorado Pond Pros. They do great work keeping our pond maintined and they provide helpful advice.

These guys installed a small, very expensive water feature for me. It started leaking, they sent someone out and he declared it was fixed. It kept leaking about 4-5 gallons a day, and they now say that is "normal". I had to keep contacting them over and over to even get them to respond. I will get a real company to come fix this mess.

I'm confused by these good reviews. The company came by to fix our fountain that had worked for years but didn't quite work right after we installed a new pump. It's a simple fountain, so we were confident professionals could help. We were told it might be two things, but they only fixed one of the two & the fountain wasn't functioning again in 2 days. They failed to return multiple of my calls & eventually stopped answering the calls altogether. Finally, I went into their store. I was treated nicely and was told that the owner would come by personally. The guy that came by wasn't necessarily rude but was definitely cold to us. He also only fixed the problem for two days. I am very disappointed in pond pros & would not recommend them to a friend. There's really no real reason they couldn't fix the pump on our simple stone fountain- except that they wanted to sell us one of their fountains.

I had a leak in my waterfall that required a rebuild. Matt rebuilt the waterfall and made it much better than the original. No more leak. Matt is a true artist, our waterfall looks fantastic.

A service call is 265. They want you to pay in advance before they come. I wanted an alga monitor to be installed. They charge 600 for that. The pump cost 150 at Pond Pros the catalog company. Another local company will do it for 300 including the pump. They installed the cheapest lights for me for 600 dollars. Told me they would last for years. Could never last a year. Had to fight over the warranty. Then when they discontinued that cheap model they wanted me to buy a new model for 1,000 and said they would last for years...This company is unresponsive to problems, sells you the cheapest stuff for well above market value. Find another company in Colorado.

We just had Colorado Pond Pros come out and do a full cleaning of our pond which contains 4 koi fish. The pond had become overrun with algae and no matter what we did we couldn't get it under control. I was nervous because I didn't want the fish to be adversely affected by cleaning the pond, but they were very careful to keep the fish in their own water during the cleaning and then once the pond was thoroughly cleaned out they put their water back in so as to avoid any shock or stress to the fish. The job they did was excellent!! Our pond is so beautiful now and the fish are doing great. They were also extremely knowledgeable and gave us tons of information on keeping the pond running optimally and reducing stress on our fish. So happy we did this and used Colorado Pond Pros.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I have 2 pondless water features that are my everything, so beautiful, tranquil and welcoming to our guests. No one can come to our home without feeling like it is a resort! Now I am having a pond put in and natural boulder retaining walls to match everything! I am in heaven at home 🙂 Save money traveling and just make your home a resort, thats what we have done! Love Colorado Pond Pros they really take care of their customers!!!

Pond Pros and I had a miscommunication on a consultation for our water feature. After a few texts, emails, and phone calls, Pond Pros and I came to an agreement that we were not on the same page. Pond Pros then took responsibility for the miscommunication, and promptly, refunded my consultation fee. What a great company!

We have been using Colorado Pond Pros for several years to maintain our multi-pond water feature, and they have been doing a great job. So, when it came time this year to repair and redesign our existing large (1000 gal+) system, we chose them for the redesign. The team did an excellent job designing and creating a beautiful pondless water feature which is a highlight of our front entry. They incorporated natural stone as well as added some old and interesting tree branches which makes the whole feature look very natural and in place among the pine trees in our yard.

They gave me tons of advice over the phone so that I wouldn't have to unnecessarily pay a service-call fee. When the quick-fix tips didn't work, we went ahead and scheduled an appointment. In the intermediary, the pump started working again and these folks waived the service-fee deposit even though they didn't have to. They'll be getting my business from now on.

Colorado Pond Pros are definitely pros! I have a leak in my 1200 gallon pond and was watering it twice a day. They came out the next day and fixed the liner, and told me to measure the water level overnight. The leak stopped, with the pump off and bubblers going. Now we know the problem is with the biofall and intermediate level, and not the pond. 'Looking forward to remediation!

Context: cold call to company asking for advice, estimate, where to start. Response: Spoke with Jen, who is the Office Manager and then Kristi (COO). I'll be honest, I expected maybe an overview of services, sales pitch, a general quote range, etc. But what Jen and Kristi did for me was completely above and beyond even the wildest expectations. There was no pitch, no sales jargon. Jen talked about the approach to ponds, gave me websites to research myself so I knew what they were suggesting, and talked about ways to save money by doing some DIY. Then she and Kristi personally surveyed my property through photos/videos I sent over and gave me a custom estimate for what kind of minimal work I could do to make drastic improvements. These are the kind of calls I really love. Its a complete detour from the usual hard-pitch that I've received from other contractors. I haven't decided on a final project yet, because I'm still figuring out what I want to do, but didn't want to wait to write up this experience. They already have a great reputation, so let this just be a reminder, that they still got game. Thanks Jen and Kristi! You both rock!

The two young men who were here, Tyler Smith and Mitchell, were incredible. My two young grandchildren (ages 2&4) were here and eagerly set-up their small camping chairs to watch part of the action. When one asked "to tickle" the fish, Tyler and Mitchell provided a safe way for them to do that. A "gold-star" rating for sure when the grandchildren clapped for them - that doesn't always happen with strangers.

I called the Pond Pros and they were there the same day to assess the situation and started the repairs. I have used Colorado Pond Pros to do a yearly pond cleanout 3 different times over the years. They are professional and do a great job! The pond rocks were adjusted, moss cleaned up, and everything set back the way it needed to be. They do a wonderful job.

Colorado Pond Pros did a revision of my initial back yard water feature. They were professional from start to finish dealing with a tight work space taking great care not to damage flagstone, stamped driveway, or turf with the excavation equipment. I love my landscaping contractors but another large pond owner put me onto Co Pond Pros and I’m happy I used a specialist as these ponds aren’t just another landscaping project. They are very large aquarium eco systems that should be left to a specialist. They worked to stay on schedule and delivered all contracted line items in a professional courteous manner. Pond owners need to commit to learning the biology and care needs of ponds and Co Pond Pros have that knowledge that other landscaping companies simply do not.

I hired this company to consult on my pond which was getting out of control with algae this summer requiring tons of work. I’ve had a pond many years and the old techniques and chemicals were no longer working to maintain it. They came up with a solution and implemented it to clean up the algae and to automate the care of the pond which would also balance the ecosystem. Now it has bacteria delivered on a regular basis requiring 90% less work and almost no chemicals compared to what I did before. I haven’t used any algaecide since they did the work. They added many perennial water plants with gravel and automated the bacteria delivery to my pond. From the consultant to the technicians everyone was very helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to use them for all my pond needs in the future.
